Soon an air freight hub between Marseille and West Africa by CMA CGM
During an interview on Wednesday, January 27th, 2021, the CEO of the CMA CGM group, Rodolphe Saadé, announced his project to create an air freight hub linking Marseille and West Africa.
“I invested a few weeks ago in air transport. We have just bought two A 330 cargo ships from Qatar Airways that we could operate out of Europe to the United States and Asia. I would like to create a cargo hub to West Africa from Marseille,”

Recall that the French group Compagnie maritime d’affrètement – Compagnie générale maritime (in shorter CMA CGM) is the third shipowner in the world with a fleet of 502 ships, and is present in 160 countries and calls in 420 of the 521 existing commercial ports in the world.
