21st anniversary of the Yamoussokro Decision
Yesterday 13 November 2020, African leaders virtually celebrated the 21st anniversary of the Yamoussokro Decision, under the theme “Implementation of the Yamoussoukro Decision, the operationalization of the African Civil Aviation Commission (CAFAC), the Implementation Agency of the Yamoussoukro Decision and the various levers for the sustainable development of air transport in Africa: the road ahead”.
Approved by 44 members of the African Union in 1999 before becoming binding in 2002, this treaty concerns the liberalization of access to the air transport market in Africa.
Recall that the Zambian deputies adopted it last Thursday, the eve of this celebration.
